Andrew Reuben Jones, 26, of St. Louis, MO, lost his life after a long battle with depression and addiction on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.
He was born in St. Louis, MO, on September 5, 1998 to Gregory and Kathy Jones. Andrew graduated from high school in 2017, after homeschooling in Juarez, Mexico while his family was there as missionaries.
Growing up in South St. Louis, Andrew enjoyed his urban roots. He had a talent for many artistic expressions, and gravitated towards calligraphy and graffiti. He also liked to spend time skateboarding. He could often be found painting at the Mississippi River flood wall/Mural Mile.
As a child, Andrew’s antics were a constant source of entertainment for family and friends. Laughter was common and he was usually in the mix. As he grew older, his tender heart routinely drew him to those on the fringes - those who were hurting, struggling, feeling forsaken. He impacted many lives and he will be missed by everyone who loved him.
Andrew is survived by one son, Henry Jones; his parents and his siblings, Amber (Ben) Studebaker of St. Louis, MO; Benjamin Jones (Kelsey Steffen) of State College, PA; Jacob and Alexa (Miller) Jones of Columbus, OH; Matthew Jones (Brooke Koleson) of St. Louis, MO; Samuel and Paola (Gibbs) Jones of Juarez, Mexico; Jeremiah and Kennah (Stern) Jones of Lawrenceville, GA.
