Cynthia Ginyard Obituary

Cynthia Jean Ginyard was born Cynthia Jean Dukes in St. Louis, Missouri on April 27, 1953 to Gwendolyn Dukes and Melvin Phason. Preceding her in death her mother Gwendolyn Rose, grandparents: Theaester and Hual Dukes Sr, and Babe Ruth Lockhart, brothers: Jerome and Michael Dukes.

At the age of 14, Cynthia moved to California with her father and grandmother, where she attended Manual Arts High School and became a cheerleader. After completing high school, she attended Cal State Northridge, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.

Cynthia married and later had two beautiful daughters during this union: Tiffani K. Rogers and Shaniqua R. Rogers. Cynthia gave her life to Christ at an early age and continued to be a faithful servant until her last breath. She was a born leader and always excelled at everything she did. Cynthia always dressed to impress and was known to be a fashionista. She enjoyed watching television and spending time with family and friends.

Cynthia leaves behind to cherish her memories, her father: Melvin Phason, daughters: Tiffani K. Rogers and Shaniqua R. Rogers, her eight grandchildren: Adrian Rogers, James Yoakum III, Avery Rogers, Amare Perkins, Aaron Perkins, Alijah Perkins, Ayden Douroux and Kobie Grace Durrett and two great granddaughters: Myianna Hoard and Melody Rogers. Three sisters: Vanessa Page, Naashon Smith and Melinda Fisher (Maurice), one brother: Clint Dukes (Angie) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
