Dave Kalapinski passed away on March 10th, leaving behind those who truly knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen M. Serafin and Thomas J. Kalapinski, and is survived by his devoted partner, Diane, along with their two frisky felines, Buster and Sadie.
Dave was a man you never forgot—outspoken and full of life. Those who knew him appreciated his authenticity, his strong presence, and the depth of his kindness. Dave was also a lung cancer survivor, a testament to his strength and resilience.
An avid deer and turkey hunter, Dave was truly in his element when he was in the woods. He especially loved spending time at Hunnewell Lake Conservation Area in Hunnewell, Missouri, and took great pride in participating in managed hunts at Mark Twain Lake through the Missouri Department of Conservation. He had a deep respect for wildlife and the outdoors, where he found peace, purpose, and a true sense of connection.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dave’s honor to:
