Delisa Lynn Swanigan

Delisa Lynn Swanigan, born January 19, 1968, to the late Luke Hengan and Verlene Swanigan, was a devoted mother, a cherished member of her community, and a woman who lived life boldly, joyfully, and unapologetically herself. Her life was full of laughter, love, and a spirit that touched everyone around her.

Her favorite Bible verse was Psalm 23:

"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures.

He leads me beside still waters.

He restores my soul.

He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake."

We may have been as different as the sun and the moon, but the same blood flows through our hearts. Thank you, Mom, for all the laughs, the love, and the unforgettable moments over the years.

Delisa is survived by her five children: Tony Anderson, Surod Anderson, Chambersa Swanigan, Allen Swanigan of Dallas, Texas, and her beloved youngest son Matthew Hunsinger of Granite City. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, who brought her endless joy.

Her memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
