Donna Lyn Head

Donna Head, 69 of Eureka, MO, was born to the late Edwin Lamar Head and the late Helen Joyce Burns on Sept. 15, 1955 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was married to Melissa Ponce-Teran (Marsh), they spent 23 years together. Donna had a passion for education and earned a Juris Doctor degree from Mizzou, passing the bar on her first try. Donna spent her life serving others as a prosecuting attorney in juvenile court. She spoke for those who could not speak for themselves. She retired in 2022. Outside of work, Donna enjoyed crossword puzzles and jelly beans. 

Donna had a huge heart and that was extended to rescuing animals. She and Melissa rescued dogs with special needs, including dogs missing a leg or an eye. They always made sure everyone had a home. 

Donna is preceeded in death by her parents Edwin and Helen Head; her in-laws John and Nancy Marsh. Donna is survived by her loving wife, Melissa Head, of Eureka, MO; her fur babies Ollie Knuckles and Shimmer Shine; her brother David (late wife Dee) of Franklin, TN; her Mother-in-law, Pat (John) Riles of Glendale, MO; Sister-in-law Laura Marsh of Overland, MO; Nephew Daniel Marsh (Brittany Williams); Nephew Vincent (Carolyn) Allred; Nephew Chris (Crystal) Head; and Niece Jennifer (Steve) Meintz. Many friends whom she called family. She will be missed by all. A celebration of life is planned for the future.
