Doris Evelyn De Ciechi

Doris E. De Ciechi age 92, of Dardenne Prairie, MO, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Friday, May 16, 2025.

Born on August 20, 1932, in Perryville, MO to the late Floyd and Ella Taylor (nee: Tucker).

She is survived by her loving son, Joe (Pam) De Ciechi; her cherished grandchildren, Maria (Tommy) De Ciechi-Edwards, and Mike De Ciechi; her loving sisters Joyce Benge and Dottie Booten. Doris is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Joe De Ciechi; her daughter, Gail De Ciechi; her parents; her sisters, Ruby Nichols and Kathy Taylor and brother, Larry Taylor. She was a beloved wife, loving mother and grandmother, dear aunt, cousin, and friend of many.

Doris met her husband Joe while working at Manchester Bank in St. Louis. She also worked for the Riverview Gardens School District and then most of her career was spent at Christian Hospital. Living in Glasgow Village for more than 30 years Doris was blessed with great neighbors and developed many life long friends. She was thrilled to move to O’Fallon, MO and live next door to her grandchildren. Doris’s favorite activities were working, reading, tending to her plants and spending time with her family and many friends (particularly her best friend Margaret Kortkamp).

A visitation for Doris will be held from 9:30-10:30am on Friday, June 13, 2025 with a 10:30am Funeral Mass to immediately follow at Immaculate Conception Dardenne-Chapel. A luncheon will follow in the fellowship hall.

Memorial donations are appreciated to the St. Vincent De Paul Society of Immaculate Conception Dardenne in honor of Doris.
