Emanuel Miguel Crespo, age 29, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, passed away on April 1, 2026.

Emanuel was born in 1997 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He earned his GED and was known for his strength, resilience, and the love he had for his family. Emanuel will be remembered for his presence, his spirit, and the impact he had on those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his beloved son, Ashton Totton; his mother, Glenda Hayward; and his seven siblings: Ariel Pettigrew, Keylon Pettigrew, Julius Hayward, Cadeirdre Hayward, Shaquel Pettigrew, Chasity Pettigrew, and Canbrina.

Emanuel was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jimmy D. Brown; his stepfather, James Pettigrew; and his grandmother, Mary Gregory.

Emanuel’s memory will live on through his family, especially his son, and all who had the opportunity to know him. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Memorial service arrangements will be announced by the family.
