Erica Jane Miller, born August 15, 1973 in Washington, Missouri to proud parents [late] James “Jim” Ervin Miller and Rita Jane (Blankenship) Miller, transitioned from her earthly body to infinite soul on May 12, 2026 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Erica spent over ten years working for the Gasconade County R-2 school district, as both a bus driver and a substitute teacher, before completing college certification in medical coding and billing. At the time of her passing she worked for NSN Revenue Resources, a job she excelled at with a team she valued. Erica loved true crime, her family, being a Hunny, all the dogs, and speaking her mind. She was talented at crochet and embroidery, creating the most treasured blankets and sweaters for family and friends. Erica was well known for a laugh that filled the room, an honesty that was unwavering, a smile that lit up her whole face, creating magic out of the mundane, strength that could not be measured, and being her children’s loudest cheerleader. She might’ve had a loud mouth, but she also had the biggest heart.
Erica is survived by her three beautiful children Michaela, Riley, and Kiana; along with their respective partners she loved as her own- Jesus, Hannah, and Kyle. She is also survived by her best friend and sister Erin, Erin’s partner Rob, and their loving mother Rita. Her special nephews Felix and Luc also survive her, as well as her grandbabies Waylon, Loxley, Ingrid, and Matilda, who were her entire world. So many friends, family, and friends that became family also look forward to reuniting with her someday.
Awaiting her in Heaven with open arms are her grandparents Murrell & Anna (Schmitt) Blankenship, grandfather William Miller, grandma Ruth (Rose) Miller, and her beloved Pop Jim.
A celebration of life will be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family encourages you to donate in Erica’s memory to Care STL Adoption Center, where she donated supplies, time, and money on multiple occasions.
