Francis Joseph Havrilla Sr., age 86, passed away at home on Monday, May 12, 2025, with his daughter Kelly by his side. Frank was born in St. Louis on March 18, 1939, to the late Frank Havrilla and Ann Pavlik. Frank is survived by his devoted ex-wife and lifetime best friend Linda Havrilla. Frank was a loving and devoted father to each of his children. Kelly Havrilla who loved him unconditionally from the minute she was born and took pride in making sure he was well taken care of, Yvonne Wunderlich (late Al), Frank Havrilla Jr., Nick Havrilla, Michael and Jessica. Frank is also survived by his siblings Robert Havrilla and Patricia Walsh. Frank is preceded in death by siblings Mary, Theresa, and Dolores. Frank was a loving grandfather to the late Victor Thomas Sturdy who adored him. Frank had many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Frank was a self-taught person with numerous talents. Frank will be fondly remembered for his intelligence, his vast skillset that allowed him to do almost anything for anyone, building houses, tinkering with cars, and his architectural mind. If something broke, Frank could fix it. If someone needed help, he was there without hesitation. Frank was also known for his quick wit and endless humor, Frank always had a comeback ready and could make anyone laugh, no matter what the situation. Frank was extremely proud of his Slovak heritage and Catholic upbringing. In his leisure time Frank loved spending time with his cherished family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, and integrity that will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
