Gerald Clinton Smith passed to his eternal home May 29, 2025.
'Jerry' was born on the family farm in Clay County, Illinois June 28, 1933 to Clint Smith and his wife Emma, nee Van Dyke.
From a child, he helped the family with all aspects of the farm. He graduated from Louisville Highschool and September 21, 1952 married his childhood sweetheart, Jean.
They were married 62 years when she passed away.
Jerry was skilled in several trades and spent many years in the printing industry, accomplished in all phases of production.
He was also preceded in death by Aleta, whom he married April 30, 2016.
Jerry is survived by his daughter, Alecia Tubb (Jeris), stepdaughters, Jackie Olson (Dan), and Anita Arnold; grandchildren Dacia Skinner (Michael) and Cicily Tubb; step-grandchildren Aviana Arnold, Zane Arnold, Theo Olson, and Nate Olson: and great grandchildren Taylor Skinner and Seth Skinner.
He will always live in our hearts, remembered as a loving husband, excellent father, doting grandpa, and a great man of integrity and strength.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of his life June 21, 2025 at The Sanctuary, 965 Anglum Road, Hazelwood, MO.
Visitation at 10:00 a.m. with service following at 11:00 a.m..
