Gregory Boddie was a beloved son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather, and friend. He was born on January 30, 1964, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the union of Nathaniel & Virgie Boddie. His family moved to St. Louis, Missouri, where he spent most of his life. He received formal education in St. Louis, graduating from Riverview Gardens High School in 1982.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather, B.W. Vaughn, & his sister, Janice Shambley.
Gregory touched many lives through his work. He especially cherished his time at The Pasta House, where he formed lasting friendships with owners and patrons. He also found joy and a sense of family at B&P & Sons Flooring LLC.
Gregory had a passion for connecting with people. He never met a stranger – just future friends. He was known for giving everyone nicknames.
He leaves to cherish his memories: children – Shantell Cooper (Roylandias), Anthony; grandchildren – Brooklyn, Bryce, Bravery; great-grandchild – Londyn; siblings – Pamela Spears, Shelia Shambley, Michael Boddie (Phyllis); godparents – Gert & Fred Graham; god-siblings – Nicole Graham, Anthony Graham; nieces & nephews – Andre, JaJuan, Miles, Terrance, Toi, & Michael.
Gregory’s legacy of love, laughter, wisdom, & style will live on in all who were blessed to know him. He will be deeply missed & remembered forever.
