James Raymond Bernsen

James R Bernsen, 84, born to the late Raymond and Agnes Bernsen on Oct. 5, 1941passed away on Oct. 26, 2026. James was married to Sharon (Burgess) Bernsen for 42 years.

James graduated from Ferguson High School in 1951, became a Vietnam Veteran for the U.S. Navy, and received a B.A. in Engineering from the University of Missouri at St. Louis.  While working for McDonnell Douglas till he retired, Jim was an avid trout fisherman, a serious bowler, and joined the Senior Profession Bowling Association.

James is survived by a daughter Julie (Adam) Busby; a son Sean (Jessica) Bernsen; and six grandchildren Eric Busby; Conner Busby; Lilly Busby; Marshall Jordon; Olivia Jordon; and Heidi Bernsen. James also has six surviving siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.
