God brought us Jill on September 15, 1976 and welcomed her back home August 28, 2024. During the days between, Jill radiated curiosity, generosity, and unyielding goodness. She lived an ever-expanding life, one that led her to study and practice civil law, bartending, motorcycle riding, and yin yoga. She was an avid reader of all genres and sewed her own dresses in the most vivid fabrics. She made homes in St. Louis, Atlanta, Jaipur, Columbia, MO, London, Philadelphia, The Bay Area, and Columbus, GA – and found herself welcome everywhere. She could offer the sharpest insights to historic moments in real time, and she could hold court, laughing with folks she met five minutes ago. She challenged us with her constant refrain, “What does love require?,” and then she stood back and watched it bloom. Above all, Jill loved and was loved by her people. Deeply. All of them.
