John Edward Becker, age 61, of Hazelwood, Missouri, passed away on April 19, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
John was a man of deep devotion — to his family, his work, and his many friends. He loved his family more than anything, and his wife, Sandra Becker (nee Keeven), was truly his pride and joy. Known for his quick wit and endless humor, John always had a comeback ready and could make anyone laugh, no matter the situation. One of his famous lines — "If you don’t like me now, you’re gonna hate me later!" — was something he’d say with a grin, knowing his sense of humor was contagious. If something was broken, John could fix it — and if someone needed help, he was there without hesitation.
A proud member of the Cement Masons Union Local 527, John had a true gift for working with his hands. Whether it was a car in need of rebuilding or something others had written off as junk, he had the talent and vision to make it shine again. He saw potential where others saw problems — a trait that defined the way he lived and loved.
John is survived by his beloved wife Sandra, his children James Becker, Stephanie Becker (Matt Darnell), and Dustin Reppell, and his grandchildren Trevor, Arabella, and Everleigh, who were the light of his life. He was the cherished son of the late Louis and Virginia Becker (nee Barry), and the loving brother of Sandy (Dave) Keeven, Julie (Tim) Randolph, Joan (Jason) Genovese, and Chris Becker. He was also a brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and a loyal friend to many.
A celebration of John’s life will be held at a later date. His legacy of kindness, hard work, and humor will live on in all who knew and loved him.
