Katherine Frances Wilhoit

Katherine Frances Wilhoit (Bennett), 75, passed away June 30, 2025 after a long battle with cancer.  She was born, in Durango Colorado, to the late Alice Marie and Lyle Bennett. She was the beloved wife to Ronnie Wilhoit, who preceeded her in death; Dear mother to Marcie (Arlie) Scruggs, and Machelle (Jason) Thornsberry; Beloved grandmother to Keith (Katie) Scruggs, Jessica (Brandon) Knabach, and Kyle (Hayle) Thornsberry; Dear great-grandmother to Owen, Hadley, Reid, Langston, Theo, and Adalynn; and sister to Mary Abram (Ron Fladung); sister-in-law Bernice and brother-in-law Weldon and preceeded in death by her parents and brother John Bennett. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. 

She was an avid race car fan and loved spending time at her cabin with her husband. She enjoyed traveling across the country with husband and grandchildren. Nothing made her happier than being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

A private memorial service will be held at a later date for immediate family.
