Larry Kent Coultrap, formerly of Lewiston, Maine passed away peacefully in St Louis Missouri, on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on July 20, 1943, in Canton, Ohio.
Larry's life was marked by dedication to his family, service to his country and community, and a strong work ethic. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1961 to 1965. It was during his time stationed in Brunswick, Maine, that he
met the love of his life, Nancy Perrier. Their connection blossomed, leading to a marriage that spanned 60 years, most of which was spent in Lewiston, Maine.
Following his naval service, Larry embarked on a successful career as an Industrial Engineer in the textile industry and earned an Associate’s Degree from Central Maine Community College.
Beyond his professional life, Larry was deeply involved in his community. He was a lifelong Mason, embodying the organization's principles of brotherhood and charity. His dedication to public service extended to his role as a Lewiston City Councilman and as a Justice of the Peace.
Larry was a devoted family man and cherished the time spent with his loved ones. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Coultrap; his three daughters, Kim Bass (Bill), Kelly Ferry (Jimmy), and Sherri Pelletier (Roger); his eight adored grandchildren, Victoria, Hannah, James, Leo, Cody, Cam, Max, Molly; and his new great-granddaughter, Peyton.
He was predeceased by his parents, Marjorie and Jesse Coultrap, and his in-laws, Germaine and Leo Perrier.
Larry will be fondly remembered for his kind heart and infectious sense of humor, qualities that made him a source of smiles and laughter for many. His unwavering commitment to his family, dedication to his community, and quiet strength were intrinsic to his character. He leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and integrity that will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
