Lucille Russell (née Causey) was a true artist, highly skilled in: fashion design, styling, and sewing, knitting, crochet and embroidery, jewelry making, makeup, carpentry, succulent cooking and baking, home decorating, and gardening. Her appearance, home, garden, and tablescapes were always colorful, fashionably coordinated and beautifully appointed to the minute details. Lucille excelled at any task she attempted. She loved animals and could not resist feeding strays. Lucille Russell (née Causey) was born September 20, 1934 in Drew, MS. She spent her formative, teen and young adult years in North Little Rock, AR before moving to St. Louis, MO. While attending Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church, she met and married a kind and loving man, Delmore Russell, who preceded her in death. Lucille was also preceded in death by parents Martin Causey and Lucy Williams (née Bryant), siblings Minnie Mae Coates, Amos and James Causey, and two siblings whose names are unknown. Lucille peacefully journeyed to join her husband and ancestors on December 10, 2024. Left to cherish her memories are siblings Annie Pearl Harris and Rosie Epps, numerous nieces, nephews, close family friends, Scipio A. Jones Alumni Association and church family at Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church. She remains forever in our hearts.
Lucille Russell (née Causey) eternally remains a beloved sister and aunt in the hearts of Annie Pearl Causey Harris and Angela Harris.
