Michael Leavitt, born November 26, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri to Harrison Leavitt and Estelle Rosen-Leavitt.
He joined the Army in 1958 and served at Fort Sheridan, Fort Leonard Wood, Fort Dix and spent time serving oversea in Germany. He was honorably discharged 1958 after receiving medals for Expert Badge (rifle) and Marksman Badge (Sub Machine Gun).
Upon completion of service, he began a 39 year career in 1958 working as a systems analyst for First National Bank which merged into Centerre Bank and finally into Boatmen’s Bank, retiring in 1997. He enjoyed investing in enterprenerial adventures.
Mike married Margaret Elaine Pratt (Shellabarger) in 1967 and together they had two children, after 14 years he was single once again.
Mike enjoyed the racetrack, Las Vegas, Keno and travelling out west.
Michael Leavitt is survived by his daughter Marcie Leavitt - Tarwater (William Tarwater); his son Michael Rocky Leavitt (Caitlyn Cain); three grand children Maggie, William and Watson; three great grand children Tyler, Shilo and Jax; sister Helen Munoz; brother Frank Leavitt; three nieces Toni Munoz, Jacqueline Leavitt and Terry Leavitt- Chavez.
Michael is preceded in death by his mother Estelle, father Harrison, brother Morris and nephew Robert.
