Terrie Lynn Buresh

Terrie Lynn Buresh, 70, of Overland, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 13, 2026. Born July 28, 1955, to Louis and June Dauphin, she was preceded in death by both parents; her brother, Rick Dauphin; son, Vinton Derda, Jr.; and her partner in all things, constant aggravator, one true love, and husband, Jerry A. Buresh.

Terrie is survived by her sister, Sue Dauphin; son, Jerry Buresh (Sherry); daughter, Kaitlyn June (Alex); grandchildren, Christian, Maryah (Tyler), Andrew, and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Azai and Emmy; and her loyal and ‘special’ companion, Pixie. She also leaves behind her lifelong friend, honorary sister, and caregiver till the end, Annette Orf.

Terrie never saw a creek or stream she didn’t want to put her feet in. Her happy place was outside in the sunshine, barefoot, sitting by the water, and camping with her family and friends. Terrie was small but mighty. Her fiery personality was adored by those who loved her and intimidated everyone else. She was the mother everyone wished they had and the friend everyone hoped to be. She leaves behind a void as big as the great outdoors. She was loved beyond measure and will be sorely missed.

The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.
